Supporting Texas mentors through the Mentor Program Allotment

To meet the needs of districts seeking MPA funding to support mentor teachers, Learning Forward will host two virtual Mentor Teacher Academy cohorts beginning in Summer 2021. Districts seeking a TEA-approved partner for mentor training may register participants in one these cohorts as part of their MPA applications.

Once you register your mentor teachers to participate in a cohort, Learning Forward will send you to send a scope and sequence document for the training that you will include in your MPA application.

Mentors participating in a virtual cohort will receive eight, four-hour synchronous virtual sessions. Mentors will also have an opportunity to receive additional coaching and support asynchronously between live sessions.

Cost for participation in a Virtual Mentor Cohort is $1,099 per person.
