Educators’ professional learning is the primary vehicle for developing their capacity to meet the daily expectations of teaching and leading in adaptive times. We help systems implement a process for assessing the effectiveness and results of professional learning to create a plan for evaluating their professional learning programs.

Our process includes:

• A review of professional learning policies and their alignment to state/district goals, strategic priorities, and the Standards for Professional Learning;
• A review of professional learning schedules, offerings, and program evaluation data;
• Districtwide administration of the Standards Assessment Inventory, a 50-item instrument that measures alignment of professional learning to the Standards for Professional Learning;
• Onsite interviews and focus groups with teachers, coaches, and other district stakeholders.
